PokemanDan’s PokeClass Series (Episodes 1-3)

by PokemanDan ~ September 14th, 2010.

Hey, I’m PokemanDan, and this is my first article on TeamOmar.com. A few weeks ago, I started my own webshow via YouTube about competitive Pokemon TCG play, as there aren’t many around. I’m from the UK, so we don’t have anything else like it (apart from JWittz from the US). I’m here now to introduce myself and show you all my first three episodes (below) which I have already released.

There will be a new episode every Saturday with a new topic each week. So check them out and comment if you like/dislike. If you want to see anything else in particular for my next episode then don’t hesitate to comment or message me and I’ll consider it. Now that I am writing for Team Omar, I will post an article with the new video as soon as it’s uploaded, so you can all check it out.

Thanks for taking the time to read and watch,
Dan

    Very nice videos, Dan. Impressive!

    Welcome to Team Omar!

    Hey Dan

Nice to have you writing for the site.

    I do like the videos.

And I like the fact you force us to look at the players across the pond. We usually only think of the U.S. and Japan as having great players, but you remind us that Pokemon is a world wide game, and that the UK is quite good.

For a request, I would like to see a deck analysis of Steelix Prime. Some people say Steelix is a auto-win to luxchomp so I would like to see how that runs.

Again welcome to the team, and thanks for the good videos.

  • Frozendukie

^the auto win against luxchomp is only because of the one player who topped out at worlds who didn’t lose to luxchomp..except for the one teching infernape at top 32.

  • Jon

Ok ur dumb cause there is only two good respectable people that play in the uk. Sami and tom hall so gtfo

  • Ed

You play in the UK a lot, Jon?

  • Jon

Name another good player with credentials from the UK?

  • Ed

    Exactly my point, Jon. Thanks!

    • RA-FUCKIN-DU

Jake Long Is right the only masters(which is all that matters) who consistently do very well in the UK are Sami, Yacine, and Tom.

  • Michael

Lost Zone isn’t new, it was revealed in Platinum. Ever heard of Dialga G or Palkia G?

  • Ed

As a win condition? Ever heard of grasping at straws?

  • Anonymous

Yes I have heard of Dialga G and Palkia G. I was aware Lost Zone was around, the point I was making was that it is a now a new strategy and way of winning. It’s a million times more achievable with the cards in Triumphant.

  • Ed

Just to be clear, my comment was directed at Michael’s. Dan, you replied to me, so I’m hoping that you didn’t think I was directing it toward you.

I was saying that the Lost Zone wasn’t new, but it is new at a win condition. Also, Michael and his pals like to find whatever they can to rip on, and it sounded like he really had to reach for something to criticize this time.

    • RA-FUCKIN-DU

Clearly Miheal is right about this he clearly said its new if you missed that then GTFO

      • Ed

        Don’t fret. It wasn’t missed.

Oh yeah sorry, I was replying to Michael :) Just getting used to this posting stuff.
    No worries,

    Dan

  • Michael

No, this time, I was just being serious. I was pointing out an error in the video. My bad. I can just flame all the time and not be decent and post comments at all that are helpful if you wish.

  • Ed

You play it how you will. I guess that’s a drawback of the flame, though. It’s tough to tell when you’re serious.

  • Michael

Thats just me covering my posts with sarcasm. Makes it difficult to tell if I am serious or not, which allows me to ignore the convo later in person if I wish.
