PokeClass Episode 13 – Arceus (Ar-Kee-Us) Deck Analysis!

by PokemanDan ~ November 27th, 2010.

This week, I’m analysing a deck that I played against the other day and realised it can pack quite a punch. Hitting for weakness every turn can seem like a complicated strategy and this may be the case, but Arceus manages to pull it off!

Enjoy!

So my usual pronunciation of AR_SEE_US is wrong? D=

When my kid watched the movie, I swear it was Arr-SEE-Uhs.

All pronunciations aside, I feel like this deck isn’t very promising. Sure it can hit for every weakness, but a bench snipe can easily fix that. Especially against a psychic deck, Psychic Arceus is x2 weakness as well.

Yeah, I think for one videogame they pronounced it Ar-See-Us, but after that it was Ar-Kee-Us. So nintendo did a good job at confusing people.

Thanks for the good video dan.

I so wish I could get this deck to work. I tried it this summer, but other decks just laughed at it.

I know some people can get it to work, but Im not one.

Though Arceus line takes up 16/60 slots if following the skeleton, perhaps it is possible to add a healing line into play. Arceus LV. X has 120 HP which most people try to reach a damage of anyway. Because we only run 1 of each type of Arceus (excluding Normal), I feel that it is essential to keep it alive. By using cards such as Expert Belt and Nidoqueen, wouldn’t it be possible to keep the one Arceus you need in play much longer?

You gotta love beating people with something unexpected. People know the top-tier decks, but that’s not to say that others can’t win. Nice play!
