Ava’s Art From Regionals

I am pretty sure that Ava’s favorite thing about Regionals is the art station. Thanks to PokeMama Camile, Ava has a place to hang out between rounds. It’s great that I know where she is, and it’s enjoyable for the kids that like coloring/drawing.

There isn’t a whole lot to say here. It was requested that I post some more artwork, so here it is. If anyone else has art like this to show, let me know.

A big hello to all members of Omar-Nation, this is Pikkdogs here today with a different kind of article. Today we won’t be talking about SP decks, Lost World, or Gengar. Today we will be talking about an overlooked part of the card game, card art.

There have been a surge in the amount of Pokemon TCG information in the past year or so. If you want to read or listen to information about the game, just turn on your PC and you will hear all about the latest tips and tricks to win card games. But, one aspect of the game that has been overlooked by these new websites is collecting. There are a lot of people who only participate in this game to collect em all, so its nice to connect with these people at times. While Pokemon players mostly care about the playability of cards, Pokemon collectors look at card art. So thats why I thought it would be nice to have an article on Pokemon Card Art.

Everyone looks at the art on the cards when we open them, but most of us don’t give the pictures a second look. …

Rap Video Explains The Pokemon TCG

First of all, I’ll try to give credit where it’s due. It sounds like Bret Brander, the New Mexico state champ, was asked to explain the Pokemon TCG, so he came up with this video with Ian Brander (his brother) and Disney Gonzalez.

If you want to read more about Bret, check out this article in the The Gazette of Colorado Springs. If you’re going to regionals in Denver, maybe you can get him to sign a Donphan for you. He’s obviously on his way to rap stardom.

Comments, New Artwork, and a Road Trip

Ava created another piece of art for the website. This time, she has combined the forces of Vulpix and Uxie to create Vuluxie. I can’t say, for certain, why. I can’t pretend to understand the mind of an artist. I have no such talent, so these things are above my comprehension.

No, on to today’s news. Cheffords, who recently wrote about his experiences at the Michigan State tourney, contacted me to inform me that some of his comments were missing. Low and behold, he was right. I had wondered why we weren’t getting very many comments lately. Well, it seems that people were commenting all along. It was just that the automatic comment SPAM filter system was marking the vast majority of comments as SPAM. Indeed, there are a lot of comments that are SPAM. It’s a sad reality, but when your real comments get tossed in with that garbage, it becomes a huge problem. Of course, we’re trying to create an atmosphere where people can share ideas and comment on people’s experiences, decklists, questions, etc. That’s hard to do if those ideas and comments get automatically discarded.

So, first, I must apologize. I’m sorry if…

I just had to post this artwork I received from my daughter last night. I guess this is what Ava thinks I work on all day. Just in case you can’t tell what’s on the screen, there is a Pokeball followed by “Team Omar”. Under that there is one of the many Pokemon cards featured on the website.
